I disagree with several claims made by Lerner, and made by his intellectual descendants, that is advocates of Modern Monetary Theory (MMT). But I regard MMT on balance as being a breath of fresh air for economics.

Two new forms of money.
Two new forms of money. First, kilowatt hour tokens:
Both are interesting innovations and it shows that people are thining serious about money in a creative way. This is just the beginning of an important trend, I believe.
I like the idea of connecting money and energy. They are both fundamental to the global economy and thinking of them in tandem will be extremely important going forward, until an unlimited source of cheap energy is developed.
